Biography Carmen Hickson                       

Born in Germany to a Canadian father and a German mother, Carmen was raised in several countries.  An early fascination with art was evident when every piece of paper in her home appeared adorned with doodles and sketches.  Carmen was eventually persuaded to take formal art training and graduated from the Sheridan College Illustration Programme.  After many years of art directing and illustrating for various commercial businesses she now focuses on the kind of art that comes from the soul and not the boardroom table.  Being comfortable in many mediums she now focuses on Found Object Assemblage art.  Her award winning work still has an illustrative quality to it and can be found in private collections around the world.
